Spruce Up Pup leaves your dog smelling fresh but that’s not it. The essential ingredients help to protect your pup beyond shiny locks. With a high concentration of antiseptic organic compounds, this shampoo bar helps prevent infections, eases skin discomfort, & eliminates bacterial-driven odor.
What other skin conditions can our shampoo bar help your pup with?
With its Balsam Fir & other healing, aromatic essential oils, this organic, all-natural shampoo will give your pup a luxurious shine, soothe & hydrate skin, relieve pain or stress and leave your pup smelling super fresh.
To get your dog spruced up, simply rub the shampoo bar on your dog’s wet coat, making a rich, creamy lather. Add more water to help increase suds if necessary. Thoroughly massage the shampoo deep into your dog’s coat, rinsing completely when done. Grab a towel to dry your fresh pup off & toss him or her a treat for a successful bathtime!
What is the pH of your shampoo bars?
A pH higher than 7 is considered alkaline and pH level below 7 is acidic. Our cold process soap is made naturally, therefore is naturally alkaline with a pH of around 10. This pH helps to gently clean your dog’s skin and coat. An added bonus of this pH, is that we do not need to add harmful chemicals to fight off bacteria from forming on the bar.
Our ingredients are all organic & blended with only the highest-quality, essential nourishing nutrients. Our shampoo bars smell great, get your pup sparkling clean, & are safe for pups of all breeds & sizes.

Love the smell and how it cleans up my puppy’s fur fast!
I have a tiny Chi who just started losing big tufts of hair suddenly last October. The vet gave me some shampoo to use on her, but oddly, it made it worse. So I bought the Spruce Up Pup bar and could not be happier with results. After about 3 weeks of baths 2-3 times a week (which she WAS NOT a fan of), her hair started to grow back in. It's been slow and steady, but her hair is finally back and she's getting much better at taking her baths. (The vet shampoo required her to let it soak in for 10 minutes...yeah, that wasn't happening.) With this bar, all I have to do is wet her and the bar down, lather it up and rinse off. Takes maybe 6 minutes total and she's done. Much happier dog...and dog mom.
I love love this product. Bar soap works great and the scent is amazing.
I started using this on my boxer and never looked back! He likes to eat soap, so not worrying if he licks it a few times is fantastic. It also works wonders for his sensitive skin, especially during times of the year when there’s lots of pollen. Not only does his skin not flare up with this bar, it actually is soothed by it. His itching stops immediately. The scent is also not overpowering for him, which makes the bath almost enjoyable. Although a shampoo bar can be tough to work with in general, it’s hard to find limited natural ingredients in a liquid form. Lathering both directly on the dog with the bar and into a washcloth or scrubby to use in conjunction with your hands helps with coverage. I actually pre-lather a few washcloths to save time during the bath. It doesn’t lather easily, but if you ever used sulfate-free/natural shampoo on your own hair, you know that’s to be expected. His coat isn’t silky smooth upon finishing, but the benefits to his itchy state and his fresh clean-smelling fur far outweigh this issue. If NDC ever comes out with a companion conditioner bar, I’d gladly try it out. However, as a stand-alone product, this bar is lovely as is. If you have a dog that has itchy/sensitive skin and enjoys eating beauty products, then I highly recommend trying this out.
This review is actually for the "Sensitive Skin" Shampoo Bar (there's a weird glitch that won't let me write a review for it). The smell is pleasant and Thea didn't mind it (she actually kept trying to lick the bar). It lathers slightly but I have to keep rubbing back 'nd forth on her hips/spine to get a decent amount. To get a decent amount onto her fur so I can massage her to clean once she's soaked is a task and takes a while since the shampoo is in a bar form. It's so awkward trying to rub the bar on her on any area other than her hips/spine so I really don't like that it's in a bar form. Thea stands still so her baths just take longer than usual using this (I can imaging I'd be annoying to use on dogs that don't sit still). The other thing I don't like is that once I rinse Thea her fur loses its "slipperyness" and my hand doesn't slide smoothly while she's still wet/damp which is weird (I've never had this happen with liquid shampoos I've used on her so I'm not sure if it's because it's a bar or just how it is). The other reason I don't like this bar form is because it's unsanitary in general in this form. The one good thing, besides Thea liking its scent, is that it didn't seem to make her skin flare up. Honestly, unless they come out with a liquid shampoo form I will not be buying it again. It's too much of a hassle to use. (Extra info: used on short hair/fur, 50lbs pit with very sensitive skin).
